The Fall of 2006 saw the implementation of the Center’s Academic Program, with a graduate seminar on “Henry Clay Frick and Collecting in Gilded Age America,” offered at the Institute of Fine Arts (NYU). The interest generated by this seminar prompted NYU to offer it again, with some modifications, in the Fall of 2007.

The Center also offers workshops on an ad hoc basis for graduate courses focused on the history of collecting in America, with special attention to primary documents.

Inge Reist, Chief of Research Collections and Programs, and Director of the Center for the History of Collecting in America
