School Visits
The Frick Collection welcomes students from grades 5–12, as well as college and graduate students. School visits introduce students to the museum’s extraordinary collection in the setting of Mr. Frick’s home.
We offer two types of school visit experiences:
Guided Visit
Students will study works of art through careful observation and focused small group discussions with our museum educators, curators, and docents. Visits are active and participatory and may include writing or sketching in the galleries.
Guided Visits are offered from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
We accept up to 30 students in grades 5–12, and 20 students in college or graduate groups.
Unguided Visit
Students may enter the Collection and visit the galleries independently. Security will ensure that groups do not travel together through the Collection.
Unguided Visits are offered from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday – Friday
We accept up to 30 students.
Note: Self-guided groups with outside lecturers are prohibited.
