Treating Enamels from the Gregory Gift

Conservator Julia Day explains the meticulous process of treating a group of sixteenth-century Limoges enamels, including addressing the effects of prior restorations. Bequeathed to the Frick by the late Alexis Gregory along with a number of other beautiful art objects, the enamels will be on display in The Gregory Gift, opening in February 2023 at Frick Madison.
