Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is paused and is expected to resume in the fall of 2024. Learn more about our comprehensive renovation project.

The Frick Art Reference Library borrows books and additional materials not held in its collections from outside institutions for on-site use. This service—known as interlibrary loan—is available to registered researchers. See Visit for more information about joining. To request items from other libraries, create an Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery account. When logged in, search for items and click “Request item for Interlibrary Loan” to place requests.

Please note that not all materials are available through interlibrary loan.

In addition to borrowing, the Library lends items to other institutions for use by their researchers. Libraries may inquire about borrowing materials from the collections of the Frick Art Reference Library by emailing interlibraryloan@frick.org.

See the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Guidelines for more information.
