For the first time in its history, The Frick Collection has created an endowed position for a primary curatorial staff member. Colin B. Bailey will now be known as The Peter Jay Sharp Chief Curator. Last year, the Frick received a generous challenge grant of $2,000,000 fromThe Peter Jay Sharp Foundation. With plans to raise the required matching funds over a four-year period, the institution and its Board of Trustees embarked on a successful effort that lasted a mere eight months.
