The Frick Collection Announces Three New Trustees
Brook Dane, Suzzara Durocher, and Alexa Davidson Suskin Bring Valuable Experience and New Perspectives to the Board
New York (October 24, 2024) — Elizabeth M. Eveillard, Chair of The Frick Collection’s Board of Trustees, announces the appointment of Brook Dane, Suzzara Durocher, and Alexa Davidson Suskin to the institution’s Board. She comments, “As we approach the completion of our renovation project and look forward to reopening the museum and library to the public in early 2025, we are pleased to welcome three exceptional individuals to our Board of Trustees. They offer a range of experiences and perspectives that will help lead us forward as we enter this exciting next chapter in the Frick’s evolution.” Adds Ian Wardropper, the Frick’s Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Director, “I have enjoyed getting to know Brook, Suzzara, and Alexa as supporters of the institution and feel confident they will offer meaningful input in the coming years in their new leadership roles.”
CHARLES ESTABROOK “BROOK” DANE
Charles Estabrook “Brook” Dane is a portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs, specializing in technology investments. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Brook served as a senior vice president at Putnam Investments and held positions at Dane Falb Stone & Co. and Scudder Funds. He earned his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a BA in history from Tufts University. He is a great-great-grandson of museum founder Henry Clay Frick. Brook resides in Beverly, Massachusetts, where he is active in a number of philanthropic organizations. He currently serves on the board of the Boston Madison Square Garden Club and is a former vice president of the board at the Brookwood School, where he also served on the nominating, finance, and search committees. As the former director of Beverly Bootstraps, a community food bank and social services organization, he oversaw a capital campaign and served on its finance and donor relations committees.
SUZZARA DUROCHER
Suzzara Durocher, a great-great-granddaughter of Henry Clay Frick, has deep ties to her family’s legacy. She is the daughter of Helen Clay Chace, President Emerita of The Frick Collection, who served as the Board’s President from 2000 to 2005. After graduating from Brown University with a BA in psychology, Suzzara began her career as a mental health counselor and later earned an MEd from Lesley University. She is currently a trustee of the Helen Clay Frick Foundation and a longtime trustee and vice chair at the Brimmer and May School, and she formerly served as vice chair of The Frick Art & Historical Center in Pittsburgh and as a trustee of the Dedham Historical Society.
ALEXA DAVIDSON SUSKIN
Alexa Davidson Suskin has served as the executive director and a trustee of the Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Foundation since its inception in 2011, overseeing major gifts and grants in the performing and visual arts and arts education nationwide. She previously served as gallery director at Lawrence Steigrad Fine Arts and worked in the commercial art field for a decade in Washington, D.C., London, and New York. She holds an MA in modern art, connoisseurship, and the history of the art market from Christie’s Education. Her civic and philanthropic affiliations include serving as co-chair of the Trustees’ Council at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., as a trustee of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Yale School of Music.
