The Board of Trustees of The Frick Collection and Samuel Sachs II, Director, announced today that he will step down from his position at the end of September 2003.
Helen Clay Chace, President of the Board of Trustees, said: “Sam Sachs has given forty years of distinguished service to the profession and we will be fortunate to have had him as Director for six years. At the beginning of his directorship, we asked Sam to make The Collection and The Frick Art Reference Library more accessible to the public. We are grateful to him for having achieved this objective and we will celebrate his accomplishments in the coming months.”
