How can I contact the Membership Office?
You can call the Membership Office during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 212-547-0707 or email members@frick.org.

Becoming a Member

How can I purchase a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online, at the Information Desk in the museum lobby, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707. 

For how long is my membership valid?
Memberships are valid for one year from the end of the month in which you joined (excluding any temporary promotions). For instance, if you joined on July 15, 2024, your membership would be valid until July 31, 2025.

Can I share my membership?
If you purchase a membership that allows for more than one person, such as a Dual membership ($130), you may indicate the name for the second card or have it say "Guest of..." and provide your guest with the second card. Members are welcome to share a membership, but we ask that all mail be sent to only one address.

Does the Frick offer a student membership?
Yes, $40 student memberships can be purchased on-site at the Information Desk upon presentation of a valid full-time student ID. If renewing or joining by mail, students must include a copy of their valid full-time student ID with their enrollment form or renewal slip.

What will I receive in the mail as a member?
Membership cards and acknowledgment letters are sent in the mail. All members receive the Members’ Magazine. Invitations for special events are sent via email and mail. Members starting at the Sustaining Friend level ($650) will also receive one specially selected exhibition catalogue per year.

If I join at the museum, can my ticket price for the day be applied to the cost of my new membership?
Yes. Ask the representative at the Information Desk how you can apply an admission ticket to the cost of membership.

 

Already a Member

When will I receive my membership cards?
We ask that you allow 2–3 weeks for the processing of your membership and receipt of your membership cards.

I never received my membership cards. What should I do?
Please contact members@frick.org.

I lost my membership cards. Can I get replacement cards?
Replacement cards can be sent for memberships that are still active. Please contact members@frick.org.

Can I upgrade my current membership to a higher level?
Yes. Memberships can be upgraded during the current cycle by paying the difference between the two memberships. Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0707 to arrange an additional payment. 

How do I renew my membership?
Membership renewals are first sent in the mail six weeks before the expiration of the membership.  You can also renew by mail, online, in person at the Information Desk, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707.

Can you email me my renewal notice?
If we have an email address on file for you, you will receive a renewal notice via email. Please contact members@frick.org to provide the Membership Office with your preferred email.

How can I find out my member ID?
Your member ID is printed on your membership card. You may be asked to provide it in order to purchase concert tickets, sign up for education programs, or to renew your membership.

 

Events/Benefits

Can I receive information about upcoming events via email?
Yes, sign up for our biweekly email newsletter, which features information about upcoming events at The Frick Collection. If you need information about upcoming member events, please contact members@frick.org.

Can members bring guests for free to the Frick?
All Dual members ($130) and above are welcome to bring one guest, for a total of two persons in their party. Contributing Friends ($300) and above may bring up to four persons in their party. 

Can I buy a ticket to an event at the Membership Desk?
No. Tickets to concerts and education programs can be purchased via our website. For information about tickets to special benefit events, such as the Autumn Dinner and Young Fellows Ball, please contact the Special Events Office at 212-991-5774 or events@frick.org.

To what special events are members invited?
All new members are invited to the New Members' Reception, generally held in the spring. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level ($300) are invited to special evening viewings. Fellows ($1,500 and above) receive invitations to curator-led talks. All Fellows and Young Fellows are invited to the annual Spring Garden Party. Visit the Fellows page for more information.

Can I use my membership at any other institutions or museums?
The Frick belongs to two reciprocal networks. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level ($300) are enrolled in the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums, which provides admission to regional museums. Members at the Sustaining Friend level ($650) and above are enrolled in the North American Reciprocal Museum Association, which offers admission to over 800 museums in the United States, Canada, and Central America.

Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes. The Student ($40), Individual ($75), and Dual ($130) memberships are all fully tax deductible. All other memberships are partially tax deductible.

Is The Frick Collection associated with the Frick Art and Historical Center in Pittsburgh?
While both The Frick Collection and the Frick Art and Historical Center are housed in former homes of Henry Clay Frick, they are independent institutions. We do, however, offer reciprocal admission to The Frick Pittsburgh for members at the Contributing Friend level ($300) and above.

How do I update my contact information?

Does the Frick participate in corporate matching gift programs?
Yes. If your company has a matching gift program, please complete the required form and mail it to the Membership Office: The Frick Collection, 1 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021. Contact members@frick.org for more information.

Does the Frick have a Library Museum Pass Program?
Yes. We offer a special Library Membership for $200. Libraries receive four membership cards, each good for the admission of one adult, and the Members’ Magazine. The distribution of the membership cards is at the discretion of the library. Please contact members@frick.org for more information or an enrollment form. 

How many people get into the museum with a library membership?
Each library membership card is good for the admission of one adult.
