How can I contact the Membership Office?
You can call the Membership Office during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 212-547-0707 or email members@frick.org.

Please note that member services at the Admissions Desk in the museum lobby will not be available until the Frick reopens in April 2025.

Becoming a Member

How can I purchase a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online, at the Admissions Desk in the museum lobby, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707.

For how long is my membership valid?
Memberships are valid for one year from the end of the month in which you joined (excluding any temporary promotions). For instance, if you joined on July 15, 2024, your membership would be valid until July 31, 2025.

Can I share my membership?
If you purchase a membership that allows for more than one person, such as a Dual membership, you may indicate the name for the second card or have it say "Guest of..." and provide your guest with the second card. Members are welcome to share a membership, but we ask that all mail be sent to only one address and your digital membership card be sent to one primary email address.

Does the Frick offer a student membership?
Yes, student memberships can be purchased on-site at the Admissions Desk upon presentation of a valid full-time student ID. If renewing or joining by mail or phone, students must include a copy of their valid full-time student ID with their enrollment form or renewal slip, or as a photo in an email to members@frick.org.

What communication will I receive as a member?
Communications regarding your membership, including your membership card and invitations to special events, will be sent via email. Please ensure you provide us with a valid email address to receive these communications and invitations.

All members receive the Members’ Magazine in the mail. Members starting at the Sustaining Friend level will also receive one specially selected publication per year.

If I join at the museum, can my ticket price for the day be applied to the cost of my new membership?
Yes. Ask the representative at the Admissions Desk how you can apply an admission ticket to the cost of membership.

How will I receive my membership cards?
Digital membership cards are now available to all members! Download yours today.

Instructions:

  • Open the link above on your smartphone.
  • Input your last name and your five-digit member ID.
  • Click the buttons at the bottom of the next screen to add the card to your smartphone’s wallet.

We ask that you allow 3–5 business days for us to process your digital membership card. You will receive an email from members@frick.org with instructions on downloading your digital card. Please contact members@frick.org or call the Membership Department at 212-547-0707 if you have any issues or questions.

My digital card is not showing the correct expiration date or member information. What do I do?
Please contact members@frick.org or call the Membership Department at 212-547-0707 if you wish to update information on your digital membership card.

If you have recently renewed, please look out for an email from members@frick.org with instructions and a link to download your updated membership card. It may take 3–5 business days for the notification email to arrive.

How do I share my second digital card? (Dual and above)
All digital membership cards are sent to one primary email.

If you purchase a membership that allows for more than one person (Dual level and above), you may forward the email with the download link to your second cardholder so that they can save the card in their digital wallet.

I would like a physical membership card. What do I do?
Please contact members@frick.org or call the Membership Department at 212-547-0707. We ask that you allow 2–3 weeks for the processing and mailing of your physical membership cards.

Can I upgrade my current membership to a higher level?
Yes. Memberships can be upgraded during the current cycle by paying the difference between the two memberships. Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0707 to arrange an additional payment.

How do I renew my membership?
Membership renewals are first sent in the mail six weeks before the expiration of the membership. You can also renew by mail, online, in person at the Admissions Desk, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707.

Can you email me my renewal notice?
If we have an email address on file for you, you will receive a renewal notice via email. Please contact members@frick.org to provide the Membership Office with your preferred email.

How can I find out my member ID?
Your member ID will be sent to you with your digital membership card in an email from members@frick.org within 3–5 business days after processing. Please contact the Membership Department at members@frick.org or 212-547-0707 if you have any further questions or if you did not receive the email containing instructions to download your membership card.

 

Events/Benefits

Can I receive information about upcoming events via email?
Yes, sign up for our biweekly email newsletter, which features information about upcoming events at The Frick Collection. If you need information about upcoming member events, please contact members@frick.org.

Can members bring guests for free to the Frick?
All Dual members and above are welcome to bring one guest, for a total of two persons in their party. Contributing Friends and above may bring up to four persons in their party.

Can I buy a ticket to an event at the Admissions Desk?
No. Tickets to concerts and education programs can be purchased via our website. For information about tickets to special benefit events, such as the Autumn Dinner and Young Fellows Ball, please contact the Special Events Office at 212-991-5774 or events@frick.org.

To what special events are members invited?
All new members are invited to the New Members' Reception, generally held in the spring. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level are invited to special evening viewings. Fellows and above receive invitations to curator-led talks. All Fellows and Young Fellows are invited to the annual Spring Garden Party. Visit the Fellows page for more information.

Can I use my membership at any other institutions or museums?
The Frick belongs to two reciprocal networks. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level are enrolled in the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums, which provides admission to regional museums. Members at the Sustaining Friend level and above are enrolled in the North American Reciprocal Museum Association, which offers admission to over 800 museums in the United States, Canada, and Central America.

Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes. The Student, Individual, and Dual memberships are all fully tax deductible. All other memberships are partially tax deductible.

Is The Frick Collection associated with the Frick Art and Historical Center in Pittsburgh?
While both The Frick Collection and the Frick Art and Historical Center are housed in former homes of Henry Clay Frick, they are independent institutions. We do, however, offer reciprocal admission to The Frick Pittsburgh for members at the Contributing Friend level and above.

How do I update my contact information?

Does the Frick participate in corporate matching gift programs?
Yes. If your company has a matching gift program, please complete the required form and mail it to the Membership Office: The Frick Collection, 1 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021. Contact members@frick.org for more information.

Does the Frick have a Library Museum Pass Program?
Yes. We offer a special Library Membership for $200. Libraries receive four membership cards, each good for the admission of one adult, and the Members’ Magazine. The distribution of the membership cards is at the discretion of the library. Please contact members@frick.org for more information or an enrollment form.

How many people get into the museum with a library membership?
Each library membership card is good for the admission of one adult.
