Learn about Bellini and Giorgione in the House of Taddeo Contarini, the final special presentation at our temporary home, Frick Madison. On view through February 4, 2024, this installation reunites—for the first time in some four hundred years—the Frick’s St. Francis in the Desert by Giovanni Bellini with Giorgione’s Three Philosophers, on rare loan from Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum. Presented in the chapel-like gallery in which Bellini’s panel has hung in isolated splendor, this show explores the two paintings’ shared history in an unprecedented display.
